Mostly Rick, but I’ve been helping, too

Goal #31: I finally calculated approximately how much yarn my recently finished items have used. I’ve made 4 neck warmers, at 313.5 feet each, for a total of 1254 feet. I’m inching closer and closer to my first mile!

Goal #69: I wore makeup again today. I’m going to start looking for makeup tutorials online so I can learn more ways to apply what I have.

Goal #74: I left comments on:
Jaebum Fangirl x6
Michele Raven Designs x2
Sunshine Drive
Yellow Bird, Yellow Beard

February 9&10, 2012: Day 37&38

Goal #1: I did quite a bit of walking toady while we were out and about. I also did 20 minutes or so on the different machines Rick’s parents have in the basement. We were all chatting about the machines, and we all took turns goofing around on them. It was actually pretty hilarious.

Goal #62: I haven’t really posted about this, because adding transactions to Mint is basically a habit now. All I can say is that Mint is an awesome budgeting tool, and I can’t recommend it enough.

Goal #64: Rick and I had a phenomenal lunch today at The Main Grill and Ale House. I had a seafood and mushroom crepe in an amazing cream sauce. We also had roasted garlic and three cheese soup as a starter. If future meals are even half as good as what today’s were, I will still not be disappointed.

Goal #69: Rick bought me a makeup kit today and an eyeshadow brush and sponge. It’s not anything fancy by any means, but there are a ton of colours that I can practice different makeup applications with. It is going to be a learning experience for sure.

Goal #74: I left comments on:
Petites Tuques
Etsy Stalker
Keeping it Indie x2
When Not Reading
Jaebum Fangirl x2
The Dainty Squid x2
Amy Morby x3
once again, lots of giveaways today :)

February 8, 2012: Day 36

Goal #1: I did a 10 minute work out today. My back has been bugging me for the past few days, so I tried to tough it out as best I could. I feel so lazy, but I think taking it easy is better than possibly injuring myself more.

Goal #34: I organized a small amount of the yarn today. I had a few random skeins sitting around, and I knew I had drawers with the same brand of yarn. I put 2 and 2 together, and got a little bit of yarn put away. I need to acquire storage bins for the rest of my yarn.

Goal #61: I got my confirmation for a $5 Amazon.com gift card today. This means I redeemed my swagbucks, and they sent out the gift card code.

Goal #74: I left comments on:
Folklure x5
She Makes Hats
Yarn Harlot
Ann Budd Knits

February 7, 2012: Day 35

Goal #54: I paid another $100 on my credit card today.

Goal #55: I have saved $500! I’m really happy with this. I got paid today, which allowed me to do this. I am adding another goal of saving another $1000.

Goal #64: Rick and I went to Sunflower Organic Cafe today for lunch. It’s a new restaurant that opened up in my city in the past few weeks. Their menu is 100% organic, and some of the items are locally sourced. I had a taco salad, and a fiesta black bean burger. Rick had a potato leek soup and a free range hamburger. I also had a slice of zucchini, pumpkin and tarragon loaf. Super good stuff, we will probably go back.

Goal #74: I left comments on:
sp4klingnails
The Ladies Lounge
Folklure Blog x3
Ms. Veronicas
A Life Sustained x2
Hardly Housewives x2
Ultimate money blog

Goal #77: I added the goal to Save an additional $1000. This is on top of what I already saved in goal #55.

February 6, 2012: Day 34

Goal #1: I did one of the 10 minute work outs today, and ran around outside for about 20 minutes with Winston. I’m shooting for 2 workouts tomorrow, three if I’m feeling exceptionally good.

Goal #74: I left comments on:
My Girl Thursday
DC GOP Girl
KnittyBlog
Barn On The Web
Talk2TheTrees x2

February 5, 2012: Day 33

Not a very productive day today. Took a day off from working out and I didn’t read many blogs.

Goal #42: I watched GreenFingers today. Definitely an excellent movie. I don’t know what it is, maybe that it is based on a true story, but I really liked it.

February 4, 2012: Day 32

Goal #1: I did my second work out of the week yesterday. I am going to be following a 10 minute trainer program that Rick gave me ages ago. There are three workouts scheduled for each day, and I had the chance/energy to do 2 of them. Today I did just one, but oh man, am I sore! I am way out of shape!

Goal #42: I watched I Love You, Phillip Morris tonight. I’ve seen little bits and pieces of it before, and I finally watched the whole thing. I enjoyed it.

Goal #74: I left comments on:
Sew Spun x2
Shrimp Salad Circus
Life, Craftiness and Everything Else
Nina on the Moon
Bitches get Stitches
Hindsvik
A wild tonic
Mano Y Metal

February 1&2, 2012: Day 29&30 One Month In!

Already 30 days in! So far, I am happy with what I’ve accomplished. I know I could have more done, but I’m still working my way up. I am going to try to finish at least one goal during the month of February.

Goal #1: I changed this goal. Rather than go to the gym twice a week, I will work out three days a week, every week. This means I gotta get on this, and get a work out in today!

Goal #14: I made a couple sales recently in the sop. This brings me to 13.

Goal #43: I backed up my computer today.

Goal #44: I had two cups of coffee today. The first was at my friend Marla’s house. Just a little sugar, and some vanilla soy. It was a little bitter, but I didn’t mind. The second was a grande mocha at S-bux. I’m still not sure if I enjoy coffee, but I guess I don’t mind it. This goal feels like it will be accomplished soon.

Goal #51&52: I am going to start making to do lists this weekend. I have a lot of stuff to do before moving (more on that later) and I need to make sure I get it all done. I will likely post the lists on my main tumblr.

Goal #54: I paid off a good chunk of my credit card today. Not quite all of it, but enough where I feel a lot of stress removed.

Goal #55: I added nearly $500 to my savings account! I was finally paid today, and I got back pay all the way to November. I wasn’t taxed on it, so I have to submit a letter to ask to have taxes removed.

Goal #56: Moving is in the works! We have given notice at our current apartment, and will be out of here at the end of March. More information about this will come as we figure stuff out.

Goal #58: I deleted one of the podcasts I was following. The episodes were long, and I wasn’t really interested in the subjects. That brings me down to 424 episodes to listen to.

Goal #69: I wore make up today. Nothing major, but enough that my friend complimented me on it.

Goal #74: I left comments on:
EtsyStalker
Sew Mantra
ChicCheapNursery x4
Confessions of a Graveyard Gypsy
Once again, I’ve been entering giveaways.

January 30&31, 2012: Day 27&28

Goal #31: I knit a scarf that measures 288 feet. This brings my total to 2906 feet. Not too shabby, I think! I’m already done over a half mile!

Goal #74: I left comments on:
Moxie and Mischief x2
Talk2TheTrees x2
The Dainty Squid x3
Mary C. Nasser
Sweepstake Lover x4
Marigold Road
A Wild Tonic
My Girl Thursday x3
Wikstenmade
(I entered a bunch of giveaways. I’m sure I left more comments than just these, but this is what I remembered)

January 29, 2012: Day 26

Goal #14: I sold two pairs of earrings in the Etsy shop today! Really happy about that.

Goal #19: At some point in the past few days, I gained 6 new Facebook fans.

Goal #40: I had a little time when I didn’t feel like reading blogs and I donated 250 grains of rice. I am hoping to finish this goal rather quickly, and then I will add another goal to donate 19 200 more grains.

Goal #74: I left comments on:
lovestitches
Ripped Up & ReSewn x2
hiphopsideproject x2
FeralKnitter
A bird in the hand art
Beaded Tail
For Love Of Cupcakes

January 27&28, 2012: Day 24&25

Goal #1: I did some stretches and squats a little while after I woke up this morning. We also walked around Colasanti’s for a while.

Goal #32: I knit a hat for LeeLee hats. I got some yarn from Tracy the last time I saw her, and I am going to make as many hats from it as possible. Rick and I are at his parents for a few days, so I am going to try to finish at least one ball of yarn with baby hats.

Goal #69: I wore makeup out to dinner with Rick’s family for his birthday. His actual birthday is Monday, so we will be going out again.

Goal #74: I left comments on:
Holly Knitlightly
A wild Tonic
Copper Diem
This Creative Journey

Goal #76: I added about 20 items to the queue for the I Love Etsy blog.

January 24&25, 2012: Day 21&22

Goal #1: I went to the gym today. I did about 22 minutes on the bike to start. Worked my upper body, then my core, then did about 75 squats, with a 5 lb weight in each hand. I am definitely feeling the work I did, and I will probably feel it until tomorrow.

Goal #74: I left comments on:
Copper Diem
N.Fallon Design Studio
Mason Dixon Knitting

January 23, 2012: Day 20

Goal #31: I finished another dish cloth. That adds 125 feet to my tally. With this cloth, I nearly finished one of my balls of cotton. I am also almost out of white. I will probably need to pick up some white cotton to finish this goal. Most of my cloths are striped, and I like pairing colours with white.

Goal #74: I left comments on:
hiphopsideproject

Goal #76: I added another new goal. This one is to max out my I Love Etsy! tumblr queue. I have several tumblrs, and this one is probably my favourite. It’s definitely got the largest following. I believe the max number of posts I can have queued is somewhere around 300. I want to reach that point. I am always worried I will run out of items queued, and there will be a lapse in the posts. I am hoping to max out the queue before the end of February. And I will not cheat by slowing the posting rate down, that’s important to note.

January 22, 2012: Day 19

Goal #31: I knit another dishcloth. This one was green and white stripes. It was an extra stitch wide, accidentally, so I am counting an extra half a foot for it. That is mostly because I was tired of having the .5 at the end of the number.

Goal #35: I made another 35 or so pairs of earrings. It may have been more, but I forgot to count. I took pictures of them, but since I don’t have a tripod, they all came out pretty fuzzy. I may just bring all of these earrings to Trinkets and Treasures, and skip the Etsy shop for them.

Goal #42: Rick and I watched Pom Wonderful Presents: The Greatest Movie Ever Sold. I’ve been wanting to see this movie since I first heard about it. I’ve been a fan of Pom since their Pom tea came in glass jars (which I really miss). I also liked Supersize Me, even though many of the numbers of calories and such seem to have been exaggerated. Regardless, I really enjoyed the movie.

Goal #43: I backed my computer up today. I noticed how full my internal hard drive is getting, and I am going to try to cut down some of the crap I have on here.

Goal #44: I drank 2 cups of coffee today. I don’t know if I actually like it, yet, or if I am still just at the “tolerating” point. I think the true test will be when I go to Starbucks or something and drink some “real” coffee.

Goal #74: I left comments on:
Bitches Get Stitches
hiphopsideproject x5
FibreFarm
The Non Consumer Advocate
RandomCreative Art
My Creative Fields

I’m pretty happy with my progress so far. I am going to start some of my longer running goals soon, such as playing with Winston, drinking more water etc.

January 21, 2012: Day 18

Goal #32: I finished another LeeLee hat this morning before going to knit club. I finished three more hats at knit club. They were all from a really nice skein of chunky pastel yarn. I will have photos as soon as Tracy uploads them, and I will post it on here.

Goal #42: I watch Driving Lessons. I thought it was fitting to watch a Laura Linney movie just after watching a Hugh Dancy one. (I really liked The Big C) Plus, I really like Rupert Grint. I didn’t love this movie, but I enjoyed it enough to watch it through to the end.

Goal #74: I left comments on:
hiphopsideproject x2
I have to start leaving at least 10 comments a day for a little while so I can get to 5000 by the end of this project. I am going to try to find a few more blogs that I can comment on.

January 20, 2012: Day 17

Goal #31: I knit another yellow and white cloth, which adds 125 feet to my tally.

Goal #42: I just finished watching Coach, with Hugh Dancy. I love him as an actor, and I really enjoyed this movie. Kind of cheesy, but still good.

Goal #74: Comments left on:
hiphopsideproject x4 (I am reading this blog from the very first post all the way through to present day)
a wild tonic

January 19, 2012: Day 16

Goal #31: I knit about 100 yards of yarn. I made a really nice, charcoal seed stitch cowl. I will photograph it very soon! I plan on making a couple more of this exact same design in a few colours.

Goal #40: I earned 400 grains of rice in the basic math challenge. My skills with fractions are a little rusty

Goal #58: I listened to a handful of podcast episodes today while knitting the cowl.

Goal #74: Comments left on:
(Never Home) Maker
Budget Bytes
a wild tonic
annbuddknits
Completely Frogged!
Confessions of a Graveyard Gypsy x3
Holly Knitlightly

January 18, 2012: Day 15

Goal #1: I went to the gym today. I really busted my butt while there. Started on the bike, moved to the weight machines, and ended with 25 minutes on the treadmill. I did enough to feel it, but not so much that tomorrow I will be too sore to go back.

Goal #9: So, I screwed up the squats challenge. I was under the impression that I had to do the work out every day. Wrong, just three times a week. I am going to re-visit this goal in a couple weeks, for sure.

Goal #30&31: I started on a yellow and white dish cloth just now. It is potentially for an order, it depends on the preference of the buyer. If she doesn’t like this colour combo, I will just add it to my craft show stock. I finished the cloth at the end of the night. This adds 125 feet to my total yarn knitted.

Goal #54: I made a payment on my credit card today. I don’t owe a lot on my card, but I owe enough for it to stress me out.

Goal #58: I downloaded 30-some episodes of a new podcast, which brings me up to 552 episodes. I am going to try to listen to at least one episode a day for the next little while. Some of them are really long, so we’ll see how many I can handle at once.

Goal #74: Comments left on:
Linda B’s Blog

January 17, 2012: Day 14

Goal #74: I’ve added a new goal: Leave 5000 comments on other blogs. This is something I need to do more of. It’s a great way to network, and it gives you a link back to your own blog. I will start promoting my blog more this way. I have left comments on the following blogs today:
Penny-wise Knitting
 N. Fallon Design Studio
A is for Ampersand
Holly Knitlightly x2
My Creative Fields
A Bird In The Hand Art
Memories for Life Scrapbooks

January 16, 2012: Day 13

Thirteen days in, and making progress all over the board!

Goal #35: I made earrings last week. I finally got around to counting how many pairs, and it was 40. Lots of new, different things going on, flowers and hearts and such. I have my work table still set up so I can make more soon. I am hoping to hear back from someone by tomorrow to see if I will be getting into a craft show at the beginning of February

Goal #42: Rick and I watched Tiny Furniture on Netflix. I really enjoyed it.
